Abstract:

This publication gives a brief overview of the impact of the technical assistance process at the [technical and vocational education and training] TVET center in Banda Aceh from 2008 to 2011 conducted with the support of the [International Labour Organization] ILO Education and Skills Training for Youth Employment in Indonesia (ILO-EAST) project. It also provides some policy recommendations on how the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration revitalization process can be taken forward. The report may serve as a useful tool for other training centers in Indonesia that are going through the same process.
