Abstract:

This publication summarises findings from a range of immigration related research undertaken by the Department of Labour since July 2004 until December 2007. Topics covered include: economic impacts of immigration; survey monitoring programme; understanding the factors associated with global mobility; building a strategic settlement knowledge base; inter-relationship between migration and employment; and social cohesion and social impacts of migration.
