Abstract:

These guidelines identify the processes that are to be utilised in implementing a recognition service. While this may normally be for entry to formal training courses by registered training providers the processes outlined in these guidelines can be utilised in providing [recognition of prior learning] RPL for other purposes. The process is divided into two categories which are identified as 1. Credit transfer, and 2. RPL. The guidelines should be read in conjunction with TD/TAS 39.08, 'Assessment of prior learning', and TD/TAS 39.09, 'Recognition of prior learning policy guidelines'.
