Abstract:

The Regional Labour Market (RLM) project, based in Victoria and funded by the Department of Employment, Workplace Relations and Small Business, was set up to examine the issue of 'skills gaps' between the needs of companies and the availability of skilled people. This report is the interim report of stage two of the project which is concerned with developing and testing potential 'bridges' across the 'divide' of skill gaps, and is focused on exploring a range of practical solutions to bridge the gaps.
