Abstract:

Employers are seeking different types of skills and competencies from those in the past. In particular they are seeking evidence of personal characteristics which are not easily assessed. The selection criteria used by firms has been influenced by changes in the labour market, in response employers have changed recruitment channels and selection techniques.
