Abstract:

IT-TEACHER is an Internet mailing list which brings together Information Technology (IT) teachers across New South Wales for the purpose of sharing and solving mutual problems relating to the teaching of IT in TAFE NSW.

The mailing list was started by a teacher at Sydney Institute of Technology (SIT) using his own computer and Internet account at home with the aim of reducing the isolation felt by new teachers in their subject areas. It now has over 70 members of new and experienced teachers and continues to grow.
