Abstract:
In 1975, UNESCO, in cooperation with UNEP, launched the International Environmental Education Programme (IEEP) for the promotion and development of environmental education. One of its major activities has been the incorporation of EE goals, philosophy, concepts, teaching methods and evaluation techniques into technical and vocational education.
This volume is one of five in the series developed by the Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) on the topic of environmental education in technical and vocational education (TVE), which have been updated in the light of the current emphasis on sustainable development.
This volume of the series provides guidance for administrators, curriculum developers and instructors in teacher training programs for industrial schools. Ideally it should be used with the general reference 'Environmental education training guide for technical and vocational education teachers' (see TD/APSDIN 40.14).
