Abstract:

The National Training Plan details the clerical-administrative workforce in Australia: its size, location in terms of states industries and minor occupations, age and education. The report goes on to examine the skills required to enter this workforce and the way training needs to be changed to take into account skill requirements and the ability of this workforce to access training when and where it is required. The plan provides a comprehensive analysis of what industry requires in terms of skills and training for this very significant workforce.
