Author: Howard, Gary

Abstract:

This paper presents a 'non-indigenous' educator's perspective on indigenous education. The author attended the World Indigenous People's Conference on Education in Wollongong in December 1993 and was asked to write his point of view. The paper looks at the role of non-indigenous people supporting indigenous education. It also looks at ways of unravelling racism in education.
