Abstract:
The essence of this study was to examine if the introduction of a vocational education program into the Nigerian mainstream secondary school curriculum was related to the development of positive attitudes towards the program and to employment opportunities among students at three postsecondary education institutions in Nigeria. A total of 65 participants completed a 30-item questionnaire. The findings indicated that participants had favourable attitudes towards vocational training and believed that curriculum diversification would help improve job prospects. However, there were significant differences in participants' attitudes towards curriculum diversification based on the geographic location of the institution they attended.
