Author: Herget, Hermann; Schroder, Rolf; Walden, Gunter

Abstract:

Using typical models, the authors introduce supplementary qualifications of importance to training policies that are oriented toward specific completed vocational qualifications. These examples are drawn from the handicrafts industry. Specifically, these are the training programs 'Handicrafts assistant' and 'European economic management with foreign languages' whose target group is persons holding an upper secondary leaving certificate. The report is based on guided interviews with participants in these supplementary training courses.
