Communicating with a diverse workforce

Abstract:

This video and booklet are designed to assist Human Resources Managers, as they work in conjunction with the Manage Diversity Competency Standard developed for the Public Services Training Package. The kit provides: - discussion of what managing diversity means - identification of effective communication strategies - two case studies (balancing work and family responsibilities and working with indigenous people) - examination of the communication strategies used in each situation - explanation of how these strategies led to a successful resolution.
