Author: Lindmeier, Bettina

Abstract:

The need for adult training for disabled persons remains generally unrecognised and thus poorly anchored in law. The author reports on the development and organisational forms of pilot projects in the area of integrative adult training in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Strategies for realising such training are identified. The problems and experiences of disabled and non-disabled participants are described. England provides an example of 'education reform from above', which has made integrative adult training the norm and which offers opportunities for comparison and argumentation strategies for promoting such training in German-speaking countries.
