Abstract:

Against a background of a stocktake of equity research taking place in 1999 and the awareness by researchers of their potential contribution to developments in the policy area, the Research Centre for Vocational Education and Training (RCVET) at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) convened a national invitational workshop to consider the state of research and its policy implications. This document gives a brief summary and report of the conclusions of the workshop and draws together the unedited working papers presented at the workshop.
