Abstract:
This paper is taken from the third group session on Monday 22 July 2002 at the International Vocational Education and Training Organisation (IVETA) Conference. This paper reviews the last 10 years of industry training in New Zealand, including the role of the Electrotechnology Industry Training Organisation (ETITO). The author focuses on two case studies: the electrical industry and the call centre industry, and examines training developments within these sectors whilst demonstrating the benefits of the industry training strategy.
