Abstract:
In the transition from end-of-pipe technologies to integrated environmental protection, education for environment personnel and application-oriented environmental consulting assume important roles. Increasing professionalisation and the development of innovative concepts can be observed in both areas. The authors shed light on these developments from the perspective of research. They address scientific and practical approaches to environmental education and environmental consulting as well as issues relating to the measurement of the effects and success of concepts and projects in the environment sector.
