Abstract:
The Leonardo programme will provide the Community with a political and operational tool which will make a decisive contribution to attaining the targets mapped out in the White paper. These targets are ambitious and, in some aspects at least, they may even seem audacious. However, there can be no doubt that the training of men and women, the transformation of work organisation, the increase in the means of access to knowledge, the spread of innovations and the results of research and development will make it possible to achieve these targets. The Union's vocational training policy is geared to this end.
