Abstract:
This publication addresses the need for educational reform and an increased focus on learning in the higher and postsecondary education sectors. The problems associated with the traditional framework of education are reviewed, and the author highlights how leading community colleges in the US are instituting positive changes. Focus is placed upon the concept of 'the learning college', an institution designed to help students make passionate connections to learning.
