Education, equity and the crisis in the rural community: proceedings of the Rural Education Research Association Conference

This conference was held at the Red Centre Resort in Alice Springs on 15-19 February 1992. The executive committee of the Rural Education Research Association wished to ensure specific conference outcomes, through a largely workshop format. The tasks of the workshops were to: (1) Define research needs within each workshop topic; (2) Identify the researchers required to conduct that research; (3) Determine the most appropriate locations to undertake that research; and (4) Identify a strategy and a source for obtaining funds. The workshops were supplemented by a number of keynote addresses.
