Abstract:

This booklet provides an overview of major labour migration movements in different regions of the world. Historical as well as recent trends in international migration are described. The booklet also provides information on migrants’ rights and their international protection. The focus is on international legal instruments adopted within the framework of the International Labour Organisation.
