Abstract:
As part of requirements for meeting Victorian health and safety legislation, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) helps to integrate accepted safety and health principles and practices into a particular operation. In a JSA, each basic step of the job is examined to identify potential hazards and decide on the safest way to do a job. This kit covers all stages of this process in the building and construction industry. It contains a training manual of training notes, learning activities and a glossary of terms. There are also sample response sheets for learning activities and assessment tasks. A video ('The JSA'), provides a detailed, authentic demonstration of the JSA induction process. The learning activities includes short writing exercises and group discussion topics.
