Abstract:

This paper seeks to explore how a conceptual framework for student income support in TAFE could be constructed and to try and identify those factors that would need to be considered in the process. The paper is structured around four issues: defining TAFE; funding TAFE; TAFE and the labour market; and TAFE and the family.
