Abstract:

This plan sets out the strategic directions and priorities of the property services industry in New South Wales (NSW) for vocational education and training (VET) for the three years 2001-2003. The plan gives detailed information on the five major industry sectors covered by the Property Services Industry Training Advisory Body (PSITAB). The groups are real estate agents, security, waste management, pest management and cleaning services. Industry profiles, regulation, training and competency standards, changes affecting training, and future directions are outlined for each group. Other industry sectors covered by the plan include: airport operations, architectural services, consultant engineering services, fire protection services and gardening services. The business plan for the PSITAB is also outlined, with objectives and strategies for 2000-2003.
