Abstract:
The aims of the eighth meeting of [Asian and Pacific Skill Development Information Network] APSDIN were to report on current regional information networking activities as well as to decide on the future policy for regional information networking and the expansion into quantitative data capture and dissemination.
The Korean paper described the Korea Manpower Agency (KOMA), which engages in activities such as training personnel from member states and organising a skill olympics. Currently, KOMA is planning a database of networked information which will concentrate on vocational training. The paper responded to the meeting's aims by appending an 'Implementation plan for the APEC vocational training program'. That plan concerns the cooperative exchange of vocational training information.
