Abstract:

This document describes the way in which the Department is working towards providing appropriate services and facilities for people with disabilities, and outlines changes which will ensure that people with disabilities can access the services and facilities that are available to anyone in the community.

It includes an Access Policy Statement for people with disabilities, and objectives and strategies to overcome barriers. The implementation of these objectives and strategies will be facilitated by the Department's Disability Services Unit and the Plan will be subject to continuous improvement based on ongoing feedback - primarily from people with disabilities.
