Abstract:

This assessor training program covers three days training plus practice in the workplace. It aims to enable participants to: demonstrate understanding of the background to competency based assessment; develop an assessment plan; perform all necessary preparation for the assessment; satisfactorily carry out the assessment (including demonstrating effective communication skills); record results correctly and give feedback to the candidate; and follow up and evaluate the assessment. The manual is a combined workbook accompanying the training program and a reference handbook.

The National Centre for Vocational Education Research produced this material for the Penfolds Wine Group and for Orlando Wyndham.
