Abstract:

This article offers an overview and background to the distance learning environment. It continues with a list of the benefits to the students, host colleges, provider colleges, and to the country. The roles and responsibilities of the host and the roles and responsibilities of the providers are set out. This is followed by a list of instructional considerations to ensure quality.
