Abstract:

This report presents the results of an examination of the extent to which applied science facilities in metropolitan TAFE colleges are utilised, and explores a number of options for rationalising applied science provision. It also examines several options for accommodating the joint venture project with Fujitsu.

The methodology used consists of a two-stage process involving:

(1) the examination of the current usage of applied science facilities in five metropolitan TAFE colleges, and;

(2) the determination of a suitable location for the joint venture.
