Abstract:

The overall aim of this evaluation was to provide indicators for improvement in competency based assessment (CBA) policy and practice framed on the premise that the implementation of the National Training Framework (NTF), including CBA, continues to evolve. Surveys were sent to over 300 users of CBA and case studies were conducted from three industry sectors. It is suggested that although the respondents were generally satisfied with CBA, it was considered that there was need for improvement.
