Abstract:

This course has been developed in response to an initiative of the National Plan of Action for Women in TAFE to meet the interpersonal communication needs of women with intellectual disabilities and to facilitate their integration in the workplace. The lack of workplace communication skills has been identified by staff in agencies which find work placements for women with an intellectual disability as a major obstacle to their successful employment.
