Abstract:

In 2015, the Australian Council of Adult Literacy (ACAL) and its UK sister organisation, Research and Practice in Adult Literacy (RaPAL), initiated a joint project to invite and publish stories of adult literacy learners in Australia and the UK. The stories were published in late 2016. In this article, the authors introduce the publication through their own reflections of the journey taken as both ACAL members and project workers.
