Tackling foundation skills in the workforce

The Australian Industry Group (AiG) has been concerned for some time about the level of foundation skills in the workforce. There are poor results from the Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) and the latest AiG survey of employers indicates that 93 per cent of them identify low levels of literacy and numeracy having an impact on their business.
