Abstract:

This research study explores the views of those employers already engaged in the provision of literacy, numeracy and employability skills and their continuing development in the workplace and in the implications of their views for policy and practice in workplaces and in adult and vocational education. The research focused on the question of who should be responsible for providing employees with the requisite skills.
